Job Description

This role provides unsupervised follow the sun break/fix support of solutions, partners with Engineering to create and update hardware, operating system, configuration and design standards for Unix/Windows servers, the hardware that supports the servers, and the storage/virtualization technologies utilized in the infrastructure globally.

Job Responsibilities

  • Directly engage and collaborate with build teams to quickly resolve customer issues or reported bugs.
  • Consistently utilize key ITIL processes to solve complex cross platform infrastructure issues with in-depth troubleshooting approach and provide most feasible options and recommend best solutions to specified problems including RCA.
  • Troubleshooting Linux (Ubuntu and CentOS), Apache, Nginx, MySQL, Rails/Unicorn, and PHP
  • Prioritize, engage and respond to customer support inquiries regarding product, functionality, account management, and billing.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and time-management skills.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution is required.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical persons.
  • Successful track record in providing world-class Customer Support to tech-savvy customers
  • Ability to identify requirements and categorise/prioritise issues.

Other Benefits

  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting Windows server and VMWare technology.
  • Minimum 5 years of IT experience.
